Hi, my name is Amy Borger and I am a Christ-centered yoga instructor. What is Christ-centered yoga? I’m glad you asked! Well, the term “yoga” means to yoke to something… In a secular setting it usually means yoking or connecting your breath, your thoughts and your movement. In Christ-centered yoga we yoke our whole-selves – mind, body and breath – to the Holy Spirit. It is a moving meditation worshiping our God and Savior Jesus Christ which is the embodiment of the greatest commandment…

"Love the Lord your God with all of your heart, with all of your soul, with all of your mind and with all of your strength." - Mark 12:30

My yoga journey began more than 15 years ago in a secular studio. There was something about connecting my breath with these big movements and different postures – both power and surrender postures – that drew me into deeper intimacy with Jesus in a way I had never experienced. I was always self-conscious to raise my hands during worship in church even though my soul wanted to… But when I move my body through yoga it is a deep and authentic worship to God, my maker, I could let go of all I was holding on to and be known, seen, held and deeply loved by my God.

A little bit about me…

I have always have had a love for movement starting at a young age. I studied Physical Education and Exercise Science at Seattle Pacific University and earned my teaching license at Metro State University in Denver. I spent some time working as a personal trainer and ended up teaching elementary and middle school PE and I loved every minute of it! After teaching for 6 years, I made the decision to stay home with my 3 wonderful girls. During that time, a friend of mine introduced me to Christ-centered yoga which blends my love for Jesus with my love of yoga. It was a perfect fit for me! After earning my RYT 200 certification from Living Soul Institute in 2020, Ari Soul Yoga was born. A place where you can come move your body, find rest and encouragement for your soul, and experience Jesus on your mat.

My desire is to share the connection and the love I have for Jesus with others through the modality of yoga. Come experience Jesus both on and off your mat… There is space for you.
